BRUSHES

reflections for both photoshop pictures
I liked doing both assignments using photoshop. The funnest one was using the brushes because you feel more freely setting up a composition and using different colors. The softening the face was a good project too because now i know that u can erase imperfections and make it look more like a magazing style. I decided to use colors opposite from what i was wearing and for my third color i decided to use a color similar to my dress but darker, so it can stick out and be different so it wouldnt be all blues. i think it looks good with the red because it creates a balance and makes it stand out. i would like to create more brushes to set them up and mess around putting them in different compositions.

STUDIO LIGHT

Studio lighting was an easy process taking the photographs and thinking of portraits that would look classy and good. The hard part of all of this was the printing room. I think the mistake was that we choose black background rather than white which would have looked better. Since we chose black it was hard to destinguish dark things like his hair, shirt, and the other half of his face. In the printing room i had to let less light so the image wouldnt have looked so blown out. The first one i did was to bright because the light was to low, so i had to use a brighter light, and when i did it got darker and the lines separating his hair and shirt from the background dissapeared and it kind of blends in. In the end what i do like about this image is the contrast it shows, and how classic the portrait looks. Next time when we decide to do this project i will decide to use a white background just how the teacher recomended we should of used.

I thought this procces of putting these for images together was a very fun experience. At first i thought it wasng going to look good because i was looking at the pictures as singl, but when i saw them all together i thought it was a very fun process to do, also i thought it looked funny. I never imagined before that you can make yourself look different just by adding different pieces of clothing or changing your hair. This was fun just thinking the four different kind of looks we wanted to got for. I decided to make one of them a preppy person, a cow girl or souther girl, a glamourous rockstar, and last a oldies hippie. What distingueshes them would be how i changed my hair and shir, and just a little bit the make up. On the top two (preppy and cowgirl) i decided to smile because of the personality those stero types have, very bubbly and smiley. On the bottom two i decided not to smile since rockstars are known for being troublesomes and their bad attitude so i thought it would look different if i didnt smile instead. In the oldies i could have smiled but many old photographs ive seen people didnt smile as much. This was an easy process copying and pasting the images in photoshop, and that was the even easiest part. i enjoyed doing this process and seeing how it came out looking.
